IMPACTS OF COVID-19 TO MOUI COCONUT OIL
Our Story
Due to world shipping restrictions, we have limited our oil range sales to subscribed customers only. We may return to online sales soon.
In the meantime, we have pivoted our business to allow for the sale of affordable earrings for our valued customers particularly in our home country of New Zealand and close neighbours Australia and the Pacific Islands.
These changes still provide you the best in service and products that MoUi. offers.

MoUi. Coconut Oil - Our Story
As a child, I watched my grandmother make coconut oil from her kitchen. She used fragrant flowers and leaves to provide beautiful coconut oil scents. She used coconut shells as cups for mens kava drinking and used coconut fibre for clothing belts and ropes.
I started producing my own infused oils in September of 2015, using coconut oil from the Pacific Islands. I infuse the coconut oil with pure cold pressed lemon essential oil, which give a fresh lemon scent while complimenting the health benefits of the coconut and lemon.
I now produce coconut infused oils with essential oils that possess health benefits for all skin types. We endeavour to produce a wide range of infused oils for all skin needs.
THE MEANING OF MOUI - MOUI ORIGINS
MoUi. translated is "life" in the Tongan language; all parts of a coconut can contribute to our ability to live a full life, from the husk fibres of the coconut used in sturdy ropes and bags, to the shell that can be used as cups and bowls. Coconut fronds are also used for fish and vegetable baskets, thatched roofing and fire kindling for underground cooking. Additionally, coconut flesh and water are used for food, refreshment, in cooking and topical oils. MoUi. provides products from the Pacific Islands where coconut is a staple for life. We bring to you the Pacific use of the coconut. MoUi.
Coconut has been touted as a superfood and Pacific people have known this for millennia. Coconut oil is high in saturated fats. These fats have different effects in the body compared with most other dietary fats. The fatty acids in coconut oil may encourage your body to burn fat, and they provide quick energy to your body and brain. They also raise HDL (good) cholesterol in your blood, which may help reduce heart disease risk*. We need to keep in mind it is still a saturated fat and where you consume, do so in moderation.
Coconut may have anti-microbial effects, lauric acid makes up about 50% of the fatty acids in coconut oil*. When your body digests lauric acid, it forms a substance called monolaurin. Both lauric acid and monolaurin can kill harmful pathogens, such as bacteria, viruses, and fungi.
Our cold pressed lemon essential oil infused with coconut for external use, is packed with vitamin C, antioxidants, and antimicrobial properties, and has anti-fungal properties also, this could only be good for you.
